I don’t know how many of you have noticed the theme of the worship songs the last three weeks. Starting with “I Surrender All” and ending with this week “Take All My Life”, I have been sorely convicted. Have I really given all of my life over to the Lordship of Jesus Christ ? My prayer to God has been, ” Please show me where I am blinded to my faults, where I have held on to things in my life that are not pleasing to You.”

Don’t ask for God to do something unless you mean it, because He will answer. My recent readings in His Word have been speaking of kindness, not being quarrelsome, gentleness and self-control. ( 2 Tim.)  I’m sure there will be more that He will reveal, but for now this will be a lot to work on. I am surely grateful that Jesus does not give up on us; but He is faithful to lead, direct and show us His way continually. Now for giving up these hindrances to His abundant life and relying on the Holy Spirit to help me in my growing toward maturity. I want to really mean it when I say, “I surrender all to you, Lord.”
