The Elephant
I’m sure you have heard the saying, “There’s an elephant in the room”, in reference to a subject that no one wants to talk about. Today there is one “elephant” that we can focus on: ACCOUNTABILITY. If we are really honest with one another we can all say at one point or another that we have a hard time with transparency. Transparency sometimes feels like a sign of weakness. As Christians, there is nothing more important than seeking out and embracing the accountability of friends and loved ones God has placed around us. If not careful, we can fall victim to a dangerous belief system that we do not need anyone else to be successful in our walk with God. Without accountability, the voice of God can sound a lot like your own. I encourage you today to become a person of accountability.
Romans 12:16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.
